Hospitality on the Way of St. James
The photograph exhibition “Hospitality on the Way of St. James” shows one of the most relevant identity signals of the Camino in a nice collection of pieces takes by Manuel G. Vicente -a pilgrim and a photographer- in b/w and color, between the period 1990 and 2015. The sacred space traced in the Middle Ages from Roncesvalles to Compostela is the pilgrimage landscape of the exhibition, with the special places and very human portraits and scenes of hospitality as mains. It’s true that the fisical and symbolic frame of this project is the French Way, but represents all the roads to Santiago with the specific experience of pilgrimage and hospitality. In short, this artistic performance over the Way and at the pilgrim’s shelters give to us scenes of deep sentiments of brotherhood, hospitality, beauty and peace.
