POLAND
The Kujawsko Pomorskie region has represented Poland in the European Federation of Saint James Way since 2017. The Pomorskie region has joined the Federation in 2024.
The Polish Way and the Pomeranian Way have recieved pilgrims since medieval times.
The Roads through Poland
There are several routes of Santiago that cross Poland, from Lesser Poland Way of St. James, passing through St. Jakub – Via Regia, Lower Silesian Way of St. James, the Pomeranian Way in the north, Wielkopolska Way of St. James and the Polish Road, also known as Camino Polaco, which passes through the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship.
The Polish Way in the Kuyavia-Pomeranian Voivodeship was created thanks to the cooperation and financial support of local governments: the City of Toruń, the Municipal Office in Brodnica and the Office of the Kurzętnik Commune. In the years 2010-2014 the city of Lębork implemented the international project Revitalization of the European cultural route in the South Baltic area – the Pomeranian Way of St. Jakub (RECReate) thanks to significant EU funding through the South Baltic CrossBorder Cooperation Program.

THE WAYS IN POLAND
El Camino Polaco
The Polish Way (Camino Polaco) connects the places that pilgrims have visited since the Middle Ages, making pilgrimages to Compostela. It is a path of almost 250 kilometers full of monuments, sacred memories and beautiful landscapes. Its Kuyavian-Pomeranian fragment runs among others through: Brodnica, Szafarnia, Golub-Dobrzyń, Ciechocin, Toruń, Kruszwica.
